Holiday Gift Ideas

by admin on Nov.24, 2008, under Resources, Tips & Tricks

With the economic crunch as well as the holidays upon us, it can be a bit more challenging than usual.  There are ways to help alleviate some of the costs.

1.  If you’re purchasing gifts online, do a search online for “coupon codes” or “promo codes” to see if the retailer offers any discounts.  Often, you can get free shipping or discounts off of your order around the holidays.

2.  Sign up for emails from your favorite stores.  Many retailers have an email list you can sign up for to receive special offers and/or discounts that may not be advertised elsewhere.  You may get some extra emails, but it could end up saving you some money.  You can always unsubscribe from their list any time.

3.  Make your own gifts!  There are many resources online available now that allow you to upload your own photos and turn them into calendars, coffee mugs, photo books, etc.  These can be inexpensive, but have a more personal touch than a more expensive store-bought gift.

One that I have used in the past is MyPublisher.   Be sure to watch for deadlines so that you are able to get your order in time!
